Modi Sugar represents the sugar business of the renowned Umesh Modi Group of India (www.modigroup.com), a leading conglomerate specialising in Pharmaceuticals, Colours and Cosmetics, Iron and Steel, Automobiles, Writing Instruments, Aviation, Telecom, Rubber, Distillery and Sugar.

Sugar has been the oldest business of the Group since 1932. The group has two sugar plants, Modi Sugar Mills (established in 1932) and SBEC Sugar Limited (established in 1998). Today, Modi Sugar is recognised as one of the leading manufacturers of plantation white sugar and refined sugar. And the only organised player in manufacturing and marketing a wide range of sugar and specialty sugar products in India under the brand names of Modi and Originale^®.

As per market demands, the business of Modi Sugar has been segmented into three strategic business units (SBU’s) – Bulk, Institution and Retail.
